This is one of the "little girl" series from the National Arboretum. A hybrid between M. liliiflora ‘Nigra’ and M. stellata ‘Rosea’. Deep purple buds with white centers. Bred to open 2-3 weeks later than others to avoid late frosts. VERY sexy!
